Batik Lenggang Jakarta Book Launched

People can also know and learn Betawi culture from this book. So, the book is certainly not exclusive

Jakarta Handicraft Council (Dekranasda) officially has launched Batik Lenggang Jakarta book, at National Monument (Monas), Gambir, Central Jakarta.

According to Dekranasda Chairwoman, Happy Farida Hidayat expressed the book itself contains about the works of batik produced by residents of four flats under Dekranasda.

"There are batik works from residents living in Marunda Flat, Pesakih Flat, Pulogebang Flat and Rawa Bebek Flat. The book consists of 92 pages," she stated, Thursday (9/28) night.

She hoped the book could be a reference reading of the younger generation. Because, in addition to the work of batik residents flats, the book also contains about Betawi culture.

"People can also know and learn Betawi culture from this book. So, the book is certainly not exclusive," he stated.

As known, the launching was attended by Chairmwoman of Jakarta Dharma Women's Union, Rusmiati Saefullah and Chairwoman of Jakarta Dekranasda Creative Team, Irma Gamal Sinurat.
